I’ve been playing d&d since about 2012 with 4.0. I’ve done everything from DM to healer to tank to dps (damage). I’m a huge video game/comic book/fantasy/scifi nerd.
I like writing, hiking, and just hanging out with my baby and husband. But I’m usually playing video games.
How did you get into tabletop gaming?
Some friends got me into it with 4.0 and now I’ve gotten my husband into it!
What do you love about tabletop games?
I love the escape from reality and creating a story. Writing the backstory to a character is one of my favorites and small details like acting out characteristics. Right now I’m playing an Aarakocra who likes shiny things and my group has a brass dragonborn and I pick his scales all the time lol.
Have you overcome any obstacles in tabletop gaming?
I’ve always played with friends so luckily, no.
What would your advice be to women who are interested in tabletop gaming but haven’t tried it yet?
Go for it. Make a strong character that represents what you value and have fun with it!
What kind of characters are you drawn to play?
Usually someone who can do spellcasting and has an alignment leaning more towards neutral or evil.
