How did you get into tabletop gaming?

My friend watched Critical Role and was like “you have to watch this show and we have to play this game”, so I started doing both.

What do you love about tabletop games?

Creating characters, working out what makes them tick and really getting to explore them in a way that’s more immediate than writing them.

Have you overcome any obstacles in tabletop gaming?

I only play with my group of friends because I have heard enough bad stories to put me off trying with anyone I don’t know well.

What would your advice be to women who are interested in tabletop gaming?

Get a few friends together and try it out. Also character creation is a lot less confusing than it looks, just read the book carefully and don’t worry if you get something wrong.

What kind of characters are you drawn to play?

I tend to play characters with a lot of secrets and issues cos it’s just more fun.

Is there a woman in tabletop who you think we should highlight?

Marisha Ray. She’s just so cool and tough I totally look up to her.
