How did you get into tabletop gaming?
I’ve been playing board games as far back as I can remember. TTRPGs have always been in my peripherals and my husband introduced me to his group several years ago.
What do you love about tabletop games?
It brings people together and encourages play. You can be silly, serious, all kinds of different approaches and get different things out of it. Playing games has helped me grow and figure out who I am.
Have you overcome any obstacles in tabletop gaming?
I didn’t get into TTRPGs earlier due to gatekeeping and have experienced some harassment both online and in person.
What would your advice be to women who are interested in tabletop gaming?
Give it a shot! If you don’t have a local group you can play with there are a lot of groups for women and minorities online who would be willing to let you join in even for just one game.
What kind of characters are you drawn to play?
A wide variety but mostly magic users. I like characters who can act as support but also can hold their own if they need to take the front line.
